Jens thorsen

has more than twenty-years of experience in insurance and financial services distribution.  Jens began his career while studying at Penn State, providing insurance and financial advisory services through Northwestern Mutual and Robert W. Baird.  Subsequently, he held roles at regional and global brokers that included small and large group employee benefit and retirement plan production, management of a wholesale employee benefits general agency, general management (president level) of a regional broker, and practice leader (multiple states) for a global broker.

In addition to various licenses, Jens completed curricula through the Wharton School of Business and International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) certifying him as a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Retirement Plans Association (RPA), Group Benefits Associate (GBA) and Compensation Management Specialist (CMS).  He also completed the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) curricula through The American College in Bryn Mawr.

Jens’ formal education includes a BS in Economics and Business Administration from Penn State University, as well as an MBA with concentrations in Corporate Finance and Leadership from NYU-Stern.

Jens lives in State College, Pennsylvania with his wife Rebecca and two children, Camilla and Holger.

Stuart bretz

Stuart Bretz’s professional passion is helping clients navigate complex and consequential business challenges. He has almost two decades of experience in insurance and healthcare, all of which has focused on delivering value for clients. Stuart began his career while studying at Temple University providing insurance advisory services through a large regional brokerage and consulting firm. Subsequently, he held executive roles at regional and national health plans and an early-stage medical device company. The scope of these roles included responsibility for, and oversight of, customer and market facing functions including sales, sales support, account management, and distribution management.

In addition to various licenses and deep experience helping clients navigate complex insurance and healthcare related business issues, Stuart’s formal education includes a BA in Risk Management and Insurance from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, as well as an MBA with concentrations in Strategy and Leadership from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Stuart lives in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania with his wife Krista and two daughters, Kameron and Sloane.
